Baton Twirling

 

Beginning Twirling & Intermediate Twirling
Age(s) 6 - 12
Students will be engaged in a fun group session where they will learn basic twirls and fundamental jazz steps and ballet positions. They will gain wrist and finger flexibility, basic coordination of low demand foot positions, free hand positions and the ability to flex and point their toes. All new moves learned will be combined into a routine aimed at creating confidence in performing and keeping time with music. Batons should be ordered through the Recreation Commission at least one week prior to the first class.
